A drunken man in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh recreated a scene from the iconic Bollywood film Sholay when he climbed up a mobile tower on Friday. The incident occurred after the man’s friends snatched away a ₹500 note from him during a card game at Hajira square. In a fit of rage, the man, identified as Rajesh Rathore, left the scene and climbed up the nearby tower.
The commotion drew a large crowd to the site, including the police. They tried to convince Rajesh to climb down the tower for over an hour with no success. It was only after the police promised to help him retrieve his lost money that Rajesh finally came down from the tower.
Although it may have seemed like a scene straight out of a movie, the incident caused quite a stir in the area. Once the situation was diffused, Rajesh was sent back home by the police.
This is yet another example of how reckless behaviour in the name of entertainment can lead to unwanted consequences. It is imperative to engage in recreational activities without resorting to violence or endangering oneself or others.
