Four Washington state men have been arrested in Oregon after being caught transporting nearly 370 gallons of liquid heroin. The suspects, who have ties to a Mexico-based transnational criminal organization, are now facing federal charges of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute heroin. The men have been identified as Marco Antonio Magallon, 44; Luis Deleon Woodward, 26; Jorge Luis Amador, 25; and Santos Alisael Aguilar Maya, 32. The arrests were made as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, with law enforcement receiving information about the transportation of illegal narcotics into Oregon. The suspects were observed traveling in a rented moving truck and an accompanying red pickup truck. The vehicles were later found at a motel in Tigard, Oregon, where federal search warrants were executed. Inside the moving truck, investigators discovered eight 55-gallon barrels containing approximately 370 gallons of liquid narcotic. Additionally, two loaded handguns were found inside the motel room. All four individuals were arrested without incident. The seized liquid narcotic, weighing approximately 1.4 metric tons, was transported to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation. Lab tests later confirmed that the barrels contained liquid heroin. The case is currently being investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and the Westside Interagency Narcotics Team.
