Many critical systems developed by India’s Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) will be showcased during the 75th Republic Day Parade on January 26. The DRDO tableau, based on the theme ‘Women power in protecting the nation by providing the defence shield in all five dimensions namely land, air, sea, cyber, and space,’ will highlight the valuable contribution of women scientists in core areas of defence research. The showcased systems include the Man Portable Anti-tank Guided Missile, Anti-Satellite Missile, Agni-5 Surface-to-Surface Ballistic Missile, Very Short Range Air Defence System, Naval Anti-Ship Missile-Short Range, Anti-Tank Guided Missile ‘HELINA,’ Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile, Astra, Light Combat Aircraft ‘Tejas,’ ‘Uttam’ Active Electronically Scanned Array Radar, Advanced Electronic Warfare System ‘Shakti,’ Cyber Security systems, Command Control Systems, and the Semiconductor Fabrication Facility. The event will also feature the display of other systems and technologies such as Pinaka, Nag Missile System, and the Medium Range Surface to Air Missile.
