APC Welcomes Sen Ewuga, Ombugaku, Others into Party

Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced the formal acceptance of Sen. Solomon Ewuga, former Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and several others into the party. The event, which took place on Saturday in Lafia, was attended by party leaders, government officials, and the defectors themselves.

During the gathering, Ganduje praised Sen. Solomon Ewuga, referring to him as an asset to the state and the country. He also expressed his commitment to reconciling with aggrieved party members and ensuring the return of those who had previously left, in order to strengthen the party’s chances of success in future elections. Ganduje further emphasized his dedication to promoting internal democracy and providing equal opportunities for all members.

In his remarks, Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State commended the defectors, including Sen. Ewuga, for their decision to join the APC. He highlighted the significance of Sen. Ewuga’s return and his wealth of experience in strengthening the party’s presence in the state.

Additionally, Sen. Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, former governor of Nasarawa State, welcomed the party leaders and federal government officials to the state. Al-Makura praised Ganduje’s leadership style as instrumental in the party’s current successes across the country. He also expressed confidence in the administration of President Bola Tinubu and its ability to address the nation’s security and economic challenges.

Ahj. Aliyu Bello, Nasarawa State Chairman of APC, extended a warm welcome to Sen. Ewuga and the other defectors. He emphasized that they would have the same rights and privileges as other party members and would be free to pursue their ambitions within the party.

Sen. Ewuga, speaking on behalf of the defectors, expressed his gratitude to Ganduje, Akume, Sule, and others for the reception. He affirmed his loyalty to the APC, referring to it as his home. Sen. Ewuga pledged his support to Gov. Sule and promised to work towards the party’s success in future elections.

In addition to Sen. Ewuga, Matthew Ombugaku, the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Yusuf Alfa, Musa Iyimoga, and others also defected to the APC.

Sen. Ewuga’s return to the APC is seen as a significant development that will positively impact the state and enhance the fortunes of the party. With determined efforts to strengthen its presence across the nation, the APC aims to secure victory in future elections and ultimately win all 36 governorship seats.

The influx of prominent figures into the APC demonstrates the party’s appeal and growing influence, further solidifying its position as a major political force in Nigeria.
