Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), has asked his party’s members to gear up for contested elections. He believes that the party will gain an immense amount of popularity in the upcoming panchayat, local body, Assembly, and Parliamentary elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Azad emphasizes that DPAP will never indulge in divisive and religion-driven politics that have hindered the progress and development of the region.
Azad believes that his party will be able to sweep the Chenab Valley region in the polls. He asserts that the rights and privileges of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities will also be protected if the party is voted in to power. Azad also is confident that he will build infrastructure in Chenab Valley at par with modern cities and towns. He has pledged to restore the Roshni Act for the landless people if the DPAP is elected to lead the region.
The mission of DPAP is to develop the region and bring peace and prosperity to Jammu and Kashmir. To help spread this message, Azad visited Changa in Doda district where he met various party workers and delegations. Furthermore, during his three-day tour of the district, Azad was met with much respect and love from people of the region.
Azad’s brother, Saddam Nabi Azad, also accompanied him on the visit. He met with people and discussed various public interests issues. Azad asserted that he is dedicated to serving his people and wants to ensure that Chenab valley becomes a hub of both educational and economic activity.
DPAP is a relatively new party, but members of the party are earning trust by addressing socio-economic issues of Jammu and Kashmir. By keeping religion and divisions out of Politics and focusing on the well-being of its citizens, DPAP is on the rise to becoming one of the largest political parties in the region.
