Former President Donald Trump has been indicted in a fourth case, this time in Georgia, over his efforts to overturn the 2020 general election results in the state. The charges stem from a phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, in which Trump urged Raffensperger to find 11,780 votes to overturn Joe Biden’s victory. The indictment comes as Trump faces multiple probes and legal challenges related to his actions during his presidency. Here’s a look at some of the other top investigations against Trump:

– In the classified documents case, Trump has been indicted on charges of mishandling top secret documents at his Florida estate. The indictment alleges that Trump sought to hide records from investigators and showed classified materials to visitors. Trump faces 40 felonies in this case, with the most serious charge carrying a penalty of up to 20 years in prison.

– Trump was indicted in August on felony charges related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. The indictment includes charges of conspiracy to defraud the government and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding. Prosecutors allege that Trump spread lies about the election and tried to persuade state officials and Congress to overturn the legitimate results.

– In a separate case, Trump was indicted in New York on state charges stemming from hush money payments made during the 2016 presidential campaign to bury allegations of extramarital affairs. He pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. Each count carries a potential prison sentence of up to four years.

– The New York Attorney General has also sued Trump and the Trump Organization, alleging they misled banks and tax authorities about the value of their assets to obtain loans and tax benefits. The lawsuit could result in civil penalties for the company.

These investigations and legal challenges could have significant implications for Trump as he considers running for the 2024 Republican nomination. They also highlight the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his actions during his time in office. Trump has described the prosecutions as politically motivated and has maintained his innocence.
