Creative Football Launches All-Inclusive Sessions for Individuals with Neurological Disorders and Mobility Issues
Creative Football has announced the details for its upcoming launch day, offering non-contact, all-inclusive sessions for individuals living with Parkinson’s, recovering from strokes, or experiencing other neurological disorders. The sessions also cater to those with mobility issues or long-term health conditions. The open day will take place at Witton Park 3G Pitches in Blackburn on Thursday, July 13, from 10am to 12pm.
The aim of the Creative Football project is to improve physical health and quality of life for participants. The initiative builds on the success of similar projects implemented across the country. One participant, Chris Lambert, who is living with Parkinson’s disease, has seen significant improvement in his health and wellbeing after rekindling his passion for football. After 13 years, Lambert began playing football again and has since become an active player in walking football leagues, even representing England at Marine FC. He credits the support networks, such as Mind 2 Muscle, Northern Lights, and Rehabilitation Football with Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, for enabling him to pursue his passion and achieve such successes.
Funding and support for the Creative Football project are provided by local businesses and organizations like Mind 2 Muscle, DES Group, Fairham Mouldings, PRU, re:fresh, Active Lancashire, and Football 2 Fitness. Additionally, Football 2 Fitness has recently partnered with the Walking Football Association (WFA).

The open day on July 13th presents an opportunity for individuals to learn more about Creative Football and experience the benefits of these non-contact sessions firsthand. With the success stories of participants like Chris Lambert, it is evident that the project can help individuals rediscover their passion for football while also improving their overall wellbeing.
As Creative Football continues to expand its reach, it is hoped that more individuals will have access to these inclusive sessions and have the opportunity to improve their physical health and quality of life. Through the support of local businesses, organizations, and the wider community, Creative Football can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those living with neurological disorders, mobility issues, and various long-term health conditions.
