Catherine O’Hara Joins Season 2 Of HBO Series ‘The Last Of Us’ In Undisclosed Role
HBO’s hit post-apocalyptic drama series, The Last of Us, has added another talented name to its cast. Actress Catherine O’Hara, known for her role in Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans, is set to join the highly anticipated second season of the show. While details about her character remain tightly under wraps, HBO has confirmed that O’Hara will be playing an undisclosed role.
O’Hara joins a stellar lineup for the second installment of the series, which is based on the popular video game developed by Naughty Dog for PlayStation. Recently announced cast members include Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, and Young Mazino as Jesse.
The Last of Us takes place two decades after the collapse of modern civilization. Pedro Pascal stars as Joel, a weathered survivor who is hired to transport Ellie, a 14-year-old girl played by Bella Ramsey, out of a harsh quarantine zone. What starts as a seemingly routine mission soon turns into a grueling and emotional journey, as they rely on each other for their very survival while traversing the treacherous landscapes of the United States.
The first season of the series was shot in Calgary, Alberta, and featured an impressive ensemble cast, including Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, Nico Parker as Sarah, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill, and many others.
For the upcoming season, production will move to Vancouver to reflect the story’s Pacific Northwest setting, as depicted in the critically acclaimed video game The Last of Us Part II. Filming is scheduled to begin in February.
