A Delhi woman has lodged a formal complaint with the Delhi Police, accusing her husband of mental and physical harassment, as well as forcing her to engage in unnatural sexual activities due to his purported porn addiction.
The incident came to light when the 30-year-old woman, a resident of East Rohtash Nagar, approached the Shahdara police station to lodge her complaint on Monday.
The senior police official stated, In her complaint, she alleged dowry demands, mental and physical harassment by her husband and other family members. Furthermore, she accused her husband of forcing her to watch pornography and labeled him as a porn addict.
As a result, the Delhi Police registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Dowry Prohibition Act. The sections include 498A, which deals with harassment of a woman with the intention of coercing her or her relatives into meeting unlawful demands for property or valuable security, 406, which addresses criminal breach of trust, 377, which pertains to unnatural sex, and 34, which concerns common intention.
The investigation into the case is in its early stages. Statements from witnesses are being recorded, and digital and other evidence is being collected to take further necessary action, added the official.
In summary, the woman alleges both physical and mental harassment, claiming that her husband’s addiction to pornography led to the forced participation in unnatural sexual activities. The Delhi Police are currently conducting investigations to gather evidence and statements in relation to the case.
