Delhi experienced a pleasant morning today with the minimum temperature recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius – three degrees below the season’s average. Notably, the national capital received 2 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours. As per the weather forecast, Delhi will see generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall and a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
Due to the pleasant weather and lower temperatures, Delhiites are likely to enjoy a respite from the intense heat waves that have plagued the city earlier this month. It is expected that the rain will offer some relief to the city from the high levels of air pollution that are present in the environment.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a warning to fishermen and tourists, asking them not to venture into the sea as the weather over the Arabian Sea and off the coast of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, is expected to be rough in the coming days.
According to air quality data, Delhi’s air quality was ranked satisfactory with an AQI of 62 on Saturday, June 26th. The AQI is expected to improve with rainfall.
