New Delhi, Feb 20 (PTI) – Delhi experienced a minimum temperature of 14.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, marking a deviation of four notches above the season’s average. Late-night rain accompanied by strong winds swept across parts of the city, leading to a slight improvement in air quality.
Having encountered five rainy days this February, Delhiites can expect this wet trend to persist for the next two days according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Alongside the rain, the humidity level soared to 96 percent, as reported by the IMD.
The Meteorological office has forecast partly cloudy skies during the day, with rain and drizzle likely to continue through Tuesday and Wednesday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital was registered in the ‘poor’ category at 214, per Central Pollution Control Board data.
The inclement weather conditions notwithstanding, Delhiites are advised to exercise caution and be prepared for more rain in the upcoming days.
