Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Injured in Unidentified Assailant’s Stabbing Attack

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Delhi police was stabbed allegedly by an unidentified man he had apprehended in Moti Nagar area of Delhi. The victim has been identified as Vikram Singh, who was on night patrol. He stopped a man on suspicion and conducted a search on him when the suspect took out a knife and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing from the spot. Singh was taken to a nearby hospital where he was admitted. A case has been registered under sections 186, 353, and 307 of the IPC based on the ASI’s complaint. The search for the accused is ongoing.
