The Delhi government has launched a survey to identify routes for Mohalla Buses. The plan is to start plying small-sized electric buses on various roads in the capital city and assess the need for such services. The Delhi Transport Department has started a 15-day comprehensive Ground Assessment Exercise with 23 technical teams to study different areas for the feasibility of the initiative. The teams will analyze aspects such as travel demand assessment, road network, and para-transit connectivity. The data collected will be utilized to determine the origin and destination of the proposed Mohalla bus services in each locality. The plan aims to provide last-mile connectivity, and the Kejriwal government plans to introduce a total of 2,180 such buses by 2025. The survey will conclude on June 15th, and Delhiites may submit their feedback and suggestions at mohallabusfeedback@gmail.com.
