Deadly Train Collision Leaves 13 Dead, 50 Injured in India
At least 13 people lost their lives and approximately 50 others sustained injuries when two trains collided in the southeastern region of India. The tragedy occurred on late Sunday after one of the passenger trains failed to stop at a signal between the towns of Alamanda and Kantakapalle in Andhra Pradesh state.
According to the railway ministry’s preliminary investigation, the collision was a result of human error. Rescue operations are currently underway to assist those affected by this devastating accident, as confirmed by local government official Nagalakshmi S.
