Six people were killed in a tragic incident at a chemical factory in Jaipur’s Bassi area when a fire erupted following an explosion in the boiler late Saturday evening. The fire claimed the lives of five individuals on the spot, while one more succumbed to severe burn injuries during treatment at the hospital. The injured, one of whom sustained 95 per cent burns, was admitted to Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh government hospital, where doctors are currently providing medical care. Commissioner of Police Biju George Joseph confirmed that the fire has been extinguished, with the injured victims receiving necessary treatment. The incident sparked local outrage, with residents demanding accountability from the factory owner who is currently at large. In response to the tragedy, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and instructed officials to extend support to those affected by the devastating fire. The Chief Minister urged swift relief and rescue efforts to aid the community during this challenging time.
