WASHINGTON – D.C. police are on the lookout for a robbery suspect accused of targeting victims near banks in a recent spree. The suspect has been snatching belongings from individuals before fleeing the scene. The first incident occurred on 14 Street Northwest, where the accused grabbed an iPhone, bank card, and $500 cash from a woman who had just left a bank. The following day, a man withdrawing money from an ATM on Monroe Street Northwest fell victim to the same suspect, who snatched $900 in cash.
No injuries have been reported in any of the incidents, but the Metropolitan Police Department is urging the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the suspect’s arrest. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for details resulting in an arrest and conviction.
