Chümoukedima Village Youth Organisation (CVYO) has issued a reminder to the public regarding its standing resolutions and called for strict compliance within its jurisdiction. The organization has imposed a ban on hunting, fishing, collecting fodder, firewood, and other activities that endanger or deplete flora and fauna in the area. Violators of the resolutions will face severe consequences and be penalized accordingly. The CVYO has set a fine of INR 1 lakh or more, depending on the severity of the act, for those who disregard the resolutions, with all equipment and weapons being destroyed upon confiscation.

The president and general secretary of CVYO have also warned the public about the village’s status as a ‘Drugs-free zone.’ Anyone involved in banned narcotics will be persecuted under the customary law of the village, with harsh actions being initiated to deal with any anti-social behavior.

In contrast, the CVYO has urged all residents to follow the laid norms and regulations within the jurisdiction, including maintaining speed limits, prohibiting underage motor vehicle driving, and avoiding loitering inside the village jurisdiction without a genuine reason after 8 pm.

Recently, during its drive for Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR), the CVYO collected over 4000 kg of wastes in Dimapur. The organization appealed to all residents to respect and comply with the regulations in place for their safety, wellbeing, and convenience.

The organization’s president and general secretary have warned that any illegal activities will have severe consequences, with the public being urged to strictly follow the rules and regulations to avoid any law-breaking incidents. The village will be protected and retain its sustainable environment if everyone follows the rules.
