Curaleaf Announces Refresh of Select Brand

Curaleaf-owned brand Select has recently unveiled a complete rebranding to coincide with 7/10, a special day dedicated to cannabis concentrates. Select, initially focused on oil cartridges, has expanded its product lineup to include edibles and specialized vaporizer hardware. The brand refresh reflects this realignment and aims to appeal to a younger demographic.

Los York, in collaboration with Select’s internal design team, has successfully modernized the brand’s visual identity while adhering to the regulations of 15 different states. Despite the complexities of designing cannabis packaging for a national audience, the team has created a compelling and compliant brand identity. The revamped logo features an adaptable stylized S that can be used across various touchpoints and products. The brand’s prominent blue color, while not inherently associated with cannabis, evokes a soothing and technological vibe that aligns with Select’s focus on concentrates and vaporizers. The new Select wordmark also exudes a high-tech feel and works well in both filled and outlined formats.

Scott Hidinger, executive creative director of Los York, stated, From the very beginning, our teams were committed to shifting the cannabis paradigm. We moved away from the cliché, solitary, ultra laid-back vibe to one of vibrance and socialization.

This technology-inspired vibe extends to the X Bites line of infused edibles. The gummy packaging, more colorful than the vaporizer pouches, features a large X filled with a pattern reminiscent of oil concentrates.

In addition to the brand refresh, Select has announced the launch of the Briq vaporizer and a new line of solventless rosin and full-spectrum gummies. The Briq vaporizer is currently available in several states including Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Live rosin X Bites will soon be available in Arizona and Florida, while High Dose full spectrum X Bites will launch in Arizona and Michigan.

Curaleaf’s refresh of the Select brand showcases their commitment to innovation and expansion within the cannabis industry. The redesigned visual identity, infused edibles, and new vaporizer options demonstrate their dedication to meeting the evolving needs and preferences of cannabis consumers across multiple states.
