Chappell’s friends organized a testimonial lunch at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and created a GoFundMe page for him, holding the intention of enhancing his retirement years.

He believes that the game could have done more for veterans who played a pivotal role in shaping cricket’s landscape. He stated that the funds raised through the foundation would significantly enhance Chappell’s last few years. The foundation has been responsible for raising around $250,000, providing substantial support to Chappell.
