Cow Vigilante Arrested with Swords, Placed in Judicial Custody

Bittu Bajrangi, a self-proclaimed cow vigilante who was previously arrested in connection with communal clashes in Nuh, has been placed under 14-day judicial custody following his fresh arrest. After being presented before a Nuh court, Bajrangi was subsequently sent to the Neemka jail in Faridabad district.

The arrest came after a fresh FIR was filed against Bajrangi by assistant superintendent of police Usha Kundu at Nuh’s Sadar police station. During the arrest, Bajrangi was found to be in possession of eight swords.

Nuh Police expressed concerns about Bajrangi’s safety if he were to be sent to Nuh district jail, as most of the inmates there belong to the Muslim community and might pose a threat to him. Due to these concerns, Nuh Police requested that Bajrangi be sent to Bhondsi Jail in Gurugram to prevent any untoward incidents.

Taking this into consideration, the court decided to send Bajrangi to Neemka jail in Faridabad. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to apprehend Bajrangi’s associates through conducting raids.

According to the FIR, Bajrangi and his supporters allegedly engaged in misbehavior and threats towards a police team headed by ASP Kundu. The confrontation occurred when the police intercepted them while they were carrying swords and trishuls to Nalhar temple.

ASP Kundu, in her complaint, stated that the mob of around 20 people raised slogans against the police, physically assaulted them, and forcefully reclaimed their confiscated weapons. The incident was captured on footage, leading to the identification of Bajrangi and others involved.

It is worth noting that Bajrangi had been previously detained by Faridabad Police in connection with another case related to the communal clashes. However, he was later released on bail. Allegations against Bajrangi include delivering inflammatory speeches and publicly brandishing weapons.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad clarified that Bajrangi had no affiliation with its youth wing Bajrang Dal or any other organizations affiliated with VHP.

In a separate development, authorities have registered an FIR against unknown individuals for delivering incendiary speeches during the Sarv Hindu Samaj mahapanchayat on August 13 in Palwal, Haryana. The FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Hathin police station.

The arrest and subsequent placement of Bittu Bajrangi in judicial custody highlight the ongoing efforts to address communal tensions and maintain law and order in the region. As the legal proceedings continue, authorities are committed to ensuring the safety and security of all individuals involved.
