The sister of slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed was denied her plea to surrender in the Umesh Pal murder case by a chief judicial magistrate, as nobody appeared on her behalf during the hearing. Ayesha Noori is accused of being a conspirator in the murder case, and police are currently searching for evidence linking her to the crime. Earlier this year, Ayesha’s husband, a Meerut-based doctor, was arrested in connection with the murder case for allegedly providing shelter and money to the killers of Umesh Pal, a key witness in the murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal. Following her husband’s arrest, Ayesha Noori also became a wanted suspect. The murder of Umesh Pal and his two police security guards occurred on February 24, 2023, and Ayesha Noori was recently in the news for following the police convoy carrying her brother Atiq Ahmed from Sabarmati jail in Gujarat to Prayagraj, where he was appearing in court for his involvement in the case.
