Congress Promises Free Power & Loan Waivers for Farmers in Khandwa

The Congress party has made a significant promise to farmers in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. During a recent press conference held at the district headquarters in Khandwa, the District Congress committee president, Ajay Ojha, and city president, Dr. Munish Mishra, addressed the media and announced a series of incentives for farmers.

If Congress forms the government after the year-end assembly elections, the party has pledged to provide free power to farmers and waive their agricultural loans, along with any pending electricity dues. The objective behind these promises is to alleviate the financial burden on farmers, who have been grappling with increasing input costs and rising fuel prices.

To further support the agricultural community, the Congress party plans to launch the Krishak Nyay Yojana. Under this initiative, farmers will benefit from free power for irrigation purposes, specifically for pumps up to 5 horse power. This endeavor aims to reduce the overall input costs associated with farming.

Moreover, the Congress party has expressed its intent to withdraw criminal cases that were filed against farmers for protesting against fake power theft charges and other agricultural issues. The Congress understands the concerns of farmers and intends to address the challenges they face, such as expensive electricity bills and frequent power cuts.

The loan burden on farmers in Madhya Pradesh has noticeably increased during the BJP rule. This has raised concerns among farmers and the general populace. Hence, the Congress party’s promises of free power and loan waivers have gained immense traction, sparking hope for a more economically viable future for farmers in the state.

Attending the press conference were several prominent members, including District Congress spokesperson Premanshu Jain, Lakhan Mandloi, Kailash Hari Patel, Kundan Malviya, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Deepak Mullu Rathore, and Vamanrao Jadhav.

Overall, the Congress party’s initiatives have presented a potential solution to the growing financial challenges faced by farmers in Khandwa and Madhya Pradesh. As the state eagerly anticipates the upcoming assembly elections, the promises of free power, loan waivers, and the withdrawal of criminal cases against farmers have emerged as key talking points.
