Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and several other key leaders from the Congress party will attend a meeting of non-NDA opposition politicians in Patna on June 12. The opposition parties will gather to discuss a joint strategy for the 2024 general elections, with more than 18 like-minded parties expected to attend. The meeting has been spearheaded by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has been campaigning to unite opposition parties against the BJP-led NDA. Rahul Gandhi, former Congress party chief, is also likely to attend if he returns from his visit to the US in time. Several other opposition leaders, including NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, have been approached to attend the meeting.
