In a scathing attack, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted that while the crude oil prices have dropped by 29 percent in the international market in the last 19 months, oil companies in India have earned a profit of Rs 1.32 lakh crore in just six months. According to the ED, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra purchased land measuring 40 kanal (five acres) from Delhi-based real estate agent HL Pahwa in 2006 and later sold the same land to Pahwa in 2010. The ED’s larger investigation involves fugitive arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, NRI businessman CC Thampi, and British national Sumit Chadha.
