From Manipur to Maharashtra, the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is set to embark on a 6,700-kilometre journey, covering 110 districts across 15 states. Led by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi, the yatra was flagged-off from Thoubal, Manipur, on Saturday.

The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ aims to connect with the people and understand their concerns, with Rahul Gandhi stating that he wants to listen to the Mann ki Baat of the citizens. During the flag-off ceremony, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the importance of interacting with farmers, laborers, small shopkeepers, women, and youth to gain insights into their thoughts and difficulties.

Despite suggestions to start the yatra from the West or the East, Rahul Gandhi chose to commence the journey from Manipur, citing the objective of eradicating hatred and uniting India. He expressed his commitment to travel across the nation, from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, as part of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ which laid the groundwork for the current initiative.

Meanwhile, addressing the gathering, Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, criticizing him for failing to visit Manipur during the ethnic violence that occurred last year. Kharge accused Modi of only seeking votes during his visits to Manipur and claimed that the youth are unemployed, athletes unable to train, and children’s education is hampered, all while the Modi government remains indifferent.

The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ not only serves as a platform for Rahul Gandhi to engage with the people and comprehend their concerns but also highlights the Congress party’s commitment to addressing nationwide issues. As the yatra progresses from Manipur to Mumbai, it aims to build connections and offer solutions, keeping the citizens’ interests at the forefront.

With a focus on inclusivity and understanding the needs of all sections of society, the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ highlights the Congress party’s determination to bridge gaps and address the challenges faced by the nation. As Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party kick-start this ambitious journey, it is a clear demonstration of their dedication to serve the people and work towards a unified and prosperous India.

In conclusion, the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ commenced from Thoubal, Manipur, symbolizing the Congress party’s commitment to unite the nation, listen to the citizens, and take constructive actions to address their concerns. This 6,700-kilometre journey across 15 states is a testament to the party’s dedication to building a better future for all.
