The Congress Party is gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections with a focus on people-centric issues such as inflation and unemployment. Despite facing setbacks in the recent assembly polls, the party is determined to give a tough fight to the ruling BJP-led NDA government. While the BJP aims for 350 seats with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as its face, the Congress has chosen not to announce its Prime Ministerial candidate until it reaches the majority mark. The party is currently in talks with its INDIA alliance partners to decide the seat sharing formula.

In the lead-up to the elections, the Congress is working on strengthening its organizational structure and reaching out to the grassroots level. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi have been conducting meetings with leaders from 24 states to discuss poll preparedness. The party is emphasizing the importance of taking its ideology to the people through various initiatives.

To bolster its campaign, the Congress has appointed a 16-member Manifesto Committee chaired by former Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Additionally, a five-member National Alliance Committee has been formed to facilitate discussions with regional partners in all states.

Party leaders believe that there is a strong anti-incumbency sentiment among the voters due to issues like inflation, unemployment, and the growing wealth gap. The Congress plans to highlight these issues, along with the increasing atrocities against marginalized communities, Dalits, and women, as well as the suspension of 146 MPs from Parliament. They also aim to bring attention to the passage of significant bills that may negatively impact the common people.

The Congress hopes that by focusing on these issues and pointing out the failures of the Modi government, they will attract the votes of the poor and middle class. With a renewed strategy and a commitment to addressing people’s concerns, the party aims to turn the tide in the 2024 general elections.

In conclusion, the Congress Party is gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, with a focus on addressing people-centric issues like inflation and unemployment. Despite recent setbacks, the party is determined to give a tough fight to the ruling BJP-led NDA government. By strengthening its organization, collaborating with alliance partners, and highlighting the failures of the current government, the Congress aims to revive its fortunes and make a strong comeback in the upcoming elections.
