Commissioner Urges Strict Measures to Fight Viral Fevers: City-wide Effort to Tackle Seasonal Diseases
In a bid to combat the spread of viral fevers and seasonal diseases, Commissioner D. Haritha of the Tirupati Municipal Corporation has called for strict measures to be implemented across the city. Following a review meeting, the Commissioner directed officials from the engineering and health departments to take immediate action.
To effectively address this issue, the Commissioner stressed the importance of daily fogging in all fifty divisions of the corporation. Fogging machines have already been provided to the staff, and it is now imperative for them to carry out this task diligently. Additionally, sanitation staff have been instructed to clean drainage lines thoroughly and promptly clear garbage throughout the city.
To cover all divisions, a comprehensive plan of action is being formulated. The placement of oil balls in areas with stored water will be crucial in preventing the breeding of mosquito larvae. Furthermore, officials are required to raise awareness among residents about the prevention of mosquito breeding. The Commissioner emphasized the need for immediate servicing of machines, should the need arise.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Chandramouliswar Reddy, Superintendent Engineer Mohan, Municipal Engineers Chandrasekhar and Venkatrami Reddy, Health Officer Dr. Anvesh Reddy, Malaria Officer Rupakumar, as well as Sanitary Supervisors Chenchaiah, Sumathi, and sanitary inspectors were present.
