A youth football coach in California has been arrested for allegedly punching a 14-year-old player during an on-field brawl. The incident occurred during a game between the Murrieta Broncos and Perris Panthers in the Murrieta Jr. All-American Youth Football League. Coach Eibylardo Funes, 50, was charged with child abuse and battery. The police responded to reports of the altercation at Vista Murrieta High School and found that Funes had punched a player from the other team. The player’s mother stated that her son was knocked out and suffered an eye injury and signs of a concussion.
