The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police has filed charges against 41 people, 10 of whom are teachers, in relation to the leak and circulation of a Class 10 General Science Exam question paper for the year 2023. The 41 individuals include 24 students, 2 attendants, and 5 middlemen. The chargesheet has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sec 66B of the IT Act. The accused were booked for being part of the conspiracy to leak and circulate the question paper. The police have also seized 86 documents, statements from 128 witnesses, and 48 material objects. The Secondary Board of Education, Assam (SEBA) lodged a complaint related to the leakage on March 13, 2023. A case was registered on the same day, and on June 15, 2023, the chargesheet was submitted before the Chief Judicial Magistrate court, Kamrup (Metro).
