Chirag Paswan, the president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), has refuted his uncle’s claim that their party is not technically part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Chirag asserts that not only is their party a part of the NDA, but they have also reached an agreement with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on a formula for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha and 2025 Bihar assembly elections.
This response comes after Chirag’s uncle, Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, stated that LJP(RV) is technically not a part of the NDA and that he would be contesting elections from the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat independently. However, Chirag contradicts this claim, stating that the BJP leaders addressed his concerns during a meeting and that they have outlined an alliance for both the 2024 Lok Sabha and 2025 Bihar assembly elections.
Chirag further mentions that even when their party was not a part of the NDA, they never worked against the BJP. Instead, they decided to go it alone in order to uphold their party’s principles without compromising on them. He advises his uncle to abide by the principles of coalition politics and to refrain from making public statements until a formal decision has been reached within the alliance.
According to Chirag, his decision to rejoin the NDA was driven by his party’s aspirations for a bigger target. He reveals that the top BJP politicians were constantly in touch with his party, which influenced his decision to form an alliance once again.
The news of Chirag Paswan refuting his uncle’s claim has added a new twist to the political scenario. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how this disagreement will be resolved within the NDA and the impact it may have on the upcoming elections.
