Cher Denies Orchestrating Son’s Alleged Kidnapping in Divorce Drama

Pop icon Cher has denied allegations that she orchestrated the kidnapping of her adult son, Elijah Blue Allman, as part of their ongoing divorce drama. Last month, Allman’s estranged wife, Marie Angela King, accused Cher of hiring four men to abduct Allman and keep him away from King and his battle with drug addiction.

According to court documents filed by King in the Los Angeles Superior Court, the alleged kidnapping took place on November 30, 2022, the night of their wedding anniversary. Four men reportedly entered the couple’s New York hotel room and took Allman against his will. King claims that one of the kidnappers revealed that they were hired by Cher. However, Cher has firmly denied these accusations, stating that the rumors are untrue.

While Cher declined to provide further comments on the matter, she did confirm that her son’s addiction issues were at the heart of the situation. In an interview with People, Cher expressed her role as a mother, saying, I’m a mother. This is my job—to try to help my children. You do anything for your children. You just do it because that’s what being a mother is.

Allman, who is also a musician, had filed for divorce in 2021. However, the couple allegedly reconnected for 12 days in November 2022 before the alleged kidnapping occurred. King expressed her concern for Allman’s well-being and whereabouts, stating that she was not allowed to see or speak to him since August 2022. She also claimed that Cher asked her to leave the family home during Allman’s absence.

Notably, after the alleged kidnapping, Allman stayed at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles under the supervision of a caretaker hired by Cher. Just recently, Allman was escorted by police to a rehabilitation facility after the hotel staff found the caretaker’s lifeless body. Allman’s battle with drug addiction has been public knowledge, with him sharing his struggles in previous interviews.

As the divorce drama unfolds, Allman and King are scheduled to appear in court on October 27 in Los Angeles. The case has attracted public attention due to the involvement of Cher and the serious allegations made against her. Cher’s denial of orchestrating her son’s alleged kidnapping presents a twist in the divorce drama, leaving room for different perspectives on the matter.

With the ongoing legal proceedings, it remains to be seen how the court will address the allegations and resolve the issues between Allman, King, and Cher. In the meantime, the focus remains on supporting Allman’s battle with addiction and ensuring his well-being.
