Chelsea and Man Utd have just 10 days left to trigger Paulo Dybala’s release clause at Roma, according to reports. Mauricio Pochettino, who has been a long-time admirer of the former Juventus star, tried to sign him back in 2019 when he was the head coach of Tottenham.

Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport claims that Dybala’s release clause for clubs outside of Serie A is £10.38 million, while it increases to £17.31 million for Roma’s Italian rivals. These release clauses are set to expire at the end of July.

Dybala’s agents are currently in discussions with Roma’s executives to determine the player’s future. There have been suggestions that Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has expressed his desire to play alongside Dybala at Stamford Bridge.

However, Dybala himself has shown little interest in moving to the Premier League. In an interview with LaRoma24, he stated, I’m motivated for pre-season, which we’re starting. My future? I’m happy at Roma. I’m staying here.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea or Manchester United will make a move for Dybala before the expiry of his release clause. The Argentine forward is a highly-regarded talent, and his potential arrival in the English top flight would undoubtedly create excitement among fans.

Dybala’s versatility and skill on the pitch have made him a sought-after player, and it’s no surprise that clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in securing his services. Pochettino’s admiration for Dybala adds another layer of intrigue to the situation.

Ultimately, the decision lies in Dybala’s hands. He seems content at Roma for now, but the allure of the Premier League and the opportunity to play for one of the English giants could still sway his decision.

As the clock ticks down, fans and football enthusiasts eagerly await the outcome of Dybala’s future. Will Chelsea or Manchester United activate his release clause, or will Dybala remain at Roma? Only time will tell.
