BJP MP and the outgoing chief of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, has been charged with sexual harassment and stalking offences against six female wrestlers. According to police sources, details of each of the female complainants have been discussed in detail with supporting evidence. Out of over 200 statements recorded, only those relevant and supporting the allegations made by the victims have been mentioned in the report. Additionally, statements of the eyewitnesses, co-participants, tournament referees, and staff are part of the charge sheet. As part of the investigation, Delhi Police has written to wrestling federations of five different nations seeking details in connection with the alleged incidents of sexual harassment by Singh. However, their response is still awaited. Once received, the details will also be included in the charge sheet.
