In a recent gathering of delegates in Hohoe, Efo Mawuli Ahiadzi, a delegate and member of the NPP in the Hohoe constituency, expressed his belief that it may be more challenging for Alan to secure 85% of the delegate votes in the Volta region compared to achieving 95% overall.
Addressing the delegates during the Durbar, Efo Mawuli, who has a long-standing affiliation with the NPP dating back to the 90s, highlighted the unwavering loyalty of the Volta region towards Mr. Kyerematen in his pursuit to lead the NPP as the flagbearer and potentially the future President of the country.
Efo made it evident that even during difficult times when there was resistance to Alan’s name, delegates in the Volta region remained steadfast in their support for him. He emphasized that today, with no doubt, Alan is the clear choice of the NPP, and turning their backs on him would be unlikely.
Efo emphasized the difficulty Alan would face in securing 85% of the delegate votes, even suggesting that other aspirants should save their energy and resources for another day.
He urged delegates to take Alan’s promise of providing financial support to party executives at the local level seriously, as Alan has a reputation for keeping his word and not making empty promises.
While reflecting on Alan’s previous contributions to the constituency’s business ventures in 2006, Efo expressed his confidence that Alan would fulfill his promises if given the opportunity to lead the NPP.
Efo continued by reminding all Voltarians that Alan is the only candidate in Ghana with a vision that could positively impact the region’s economic circumstances. He highlighted the region’s vast agricultural potential and emphasized how Alan’s Great Transformational Plan, focusing on agriculture, could be a turning point for the region.
Efo also encouraged delegates from other regions to support Alan, urging them to grant him no less than 95% of the votes in the upcoming elections.
It is clear that Alan’s pursuit of delegate support in the Volta region poses a challenge. However, with his track record, promises, and vision for the region’s economic growth, Alan remains a strong contender for the NPP’s leadership and potentially the presidency.
