More executives are expressing concern about the future viability of their companies as the challenges of climate change and artificial intelligence (AI) continue to grow, according to a survey of CEOs by consulting firm PwC. The survey, released at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, revealed that 45% of the respondents are worried that their businesses won’t survive the next decade without significant restructuring. This figure is up from 39% in the previous year’s survey. While CEOs are more optimistic about the global economy, they believe that their companies will face significant challenges due to the impact of climate change and the rapid advancement of AI technology. The survey also highlighted concerns regarding regulation, skill gaps among workers, and the potential increase in cybersecurity risks and misinformation associated with AI. The findings demonstrate the need for businesses to adapt and transform in order to remain competitive in an ever-changing global landscape.
