On Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Pragathi Bhavan to seek his support against the ordinance introduced by the Central Government. Kejriwal strongly critized the ordinance, which has been issued against the orders of the Supreme Court, for obstructing Delhi’s administration.
Kejriwal expressed his gratitude to the Telangana CM for his assistance on behalf of the people of Delhi. The Chief Minister recalled how former CM Sheila Dikshit had control over service-related matters in the past and that the order of the Supreme Court was being ignored by the BJP-led government. This, according to him, insulted the people of Delhi.
While criticizing the BJP for using CBI and ED to threaten and topple non-BJP governments, Kejriwal urged all non-BJP parties to unite and effectively challenge the party. In his opinion, the people of India must defeat the Modi government to protect their freedom. Punjab CM Bhagwantman expressed similar sentiments and added that the NATO Aayog meeting was merely a formality and lacked any meaningful purpose.
