Two labourers were tragically killed and five others were injured when the ceiling of an under-construction marriage hall collapsed in Daulatpur village under Kolhui police station limits in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district. The incident occurred on Wednesday, prompting an immediate response from officials and authorities.
The victims have been identified as Neeraj (20) and Ash Kumar (25). They lost their lives as the ceiling gave way, causing a devastating collapse. Additionally, five other labourers, namely Santosh Paswan, Sudarshan, Gautam, Ravindra, and Ajay Giri, sustained serious injuries and have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Atish Kumar Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police, has confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are currently underway. It is expected that legal action will be taken accordingly once the investigations are complete.
