The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating Sam D’Souza, who is allegedly involved in a blackmail attempt for a sum of Rs 25 crore in relation to the Aryan Khan drug case, in which former Mumbai zone NCB Director Sameer Wankhede is also implicated. The CBI summoned D’Souza to appear before it for questioning with his lawyers. Previously, the CBI interrogated Wankhede in Mumbai.
According to the FIR accessed by the CBI, Sameer Wankhede is being accused of trading expensive watches without disclosing the information and concealing details of his expenses during his foreign trips. The FIR also mentioned that when several people were caught on the cruise, Aryan Khan was the only one who was arrested. Additionally, K.P. Goswami, who appeared as an NCB official, was solely responsible for Aryan Khan’s arrest. The CBI, in its report, also mentioned that someone demanded Rs 25 crore as a settlement amount, which was ultimately reduced to Rs 8 crore after negotiations. Initially, they received Rs 50 lakh, but some of the money was returned after complications arose in the case.
The CBI’s recent investigation into the case has shed new light on several details previously unknown to the public. The agency is carrying out in-depth research in light of this information.
