New Delhi, July 12: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a search at a house in East Delhi on Tuesday in connection with the alleged sales and distribution of child pornography material online. The accused, identified as Shahroz Khan, a resident of Gandhi Nagar in East Delhi, was arrested for sharing, downloading, and distributing material depicting children in sexually explicit acts, among other offenses.
The case was registered on June 28 under the Information Technology (IT) Act, and based on the evidence collected during the investigation, additional sections of the IT Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act were added on July 6.
After his arrest, Khan was produced before a magistrate and subsequently remanded to five days of CBI custody.
