The first game of the San Diego doubleheader will begin at 12:10 p.m. local time, with the second game scheduled for 5:40 p.m. The Angel Stadium doubleheader will kick off at 1:07 p.m. local time, followed by the nightcap at 6:07 p.m. At Dodger Stadium, the doubleheader will take place at 12 p.m. and 6:10 p.m.
While such weather events are unusual for the region, Hurricane Hilary serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of nature. Angels manager Phil Nevin expressed both excitement and nervousness about the situation, emphasizing the rarity of a hurricane hitting Southern California.
As of now, Hurricane Hilary is expected to approach Mexico’s Baja California peninsula as a hurricane on Saturday night before weakening to a tropical storm as it moves towards Southern California on Sunday.
