In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police successfully recovered a 5 kg packet of suspected heroin in Amritsar district. The collaborative effort on March 7 led to the discovery of the packet in a farming field near Neshta Village. This breakthrough marks a significant milestone in combating narcotics smuggling, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the BSF and Punjab Police.
Earlier on March 5, a similar operation resulted in the recovery of another packet of suspected heroin in the Tarn Taran district. The vigilance and swift action of the BSF troops and Punjab Police were pivotal in seizing the narcotics in the border area. The packet, weighing approximately 565 grams, was found in a farming field adjacent to Sanktara village. These operations have effectively prevented large quantities of drugs from infiltrating Indian soil, thwarting the attempts of narco syndicates from across the border.
