With an impressive track record of driving television revenue and developing multiplatform advertising strategies, Norris is set to bring his expertise to Scripps starting August 28.

Norris joins Scripps from NBCUniversal, where he most recently served as senior vice president of the SMB growth division, leading the sales team responsible for helping small and medium-sized businesses scale beyond social media. Prior to that, he played a crucial role in building NBCUniversal’s business development and sales team dedicated to the direct-to-consumer and mid-market category.

Before his time at NBCUniversal, Norris held key positions in media sales for DISH Network and Sling TV, where he contributed to the launch of DISH Media Sales’ flagship office in New York. She emphasized his commitment to developing diverse and high-performing teams, making him an ideal leader to advance Scripps’ revenue strategy and expand its share of advertising revenue in local, national, and CTV marketplaces.

In addition to his extensive industry experience, Norris is also an adjunct professor at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business in New York and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for The College of Fine Arts and Communication at Towson University.

Expressing his excitement about joining Scripps, Norris praised the company’s entrepreneurial spirit and its ability to adapt to the evolving needs of media consumers. He aims to capitalize on industry disruption to better serve advertisers and engage consumers across Scripps’ portfolio of media brands and advertising platforms.

Norris is actively involved in the media industry beyond his professional career. He currently serves as the vice chairman of the board of the International Radio and Television Society Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to building future leaders and promoting diversity. Additionally, he volunteers his time as an advisory board member for the nonprofit GuiDANCE Autism.
