Brazilian Defender Elsinho Joins Jamshedpur FC, Sees ISL Opportunity
Jamshedpur FC has signed Brazilian player Elson Jose dias Junior, commonly known as Elsinho, on a one-year contract. The 32-year-old sees this move to the Indian Super League (ISL) outfit as a great opportunity and an important next step in his career.
Elsinho made a name for himself at Mexican side FC Juarez, where he made 136 appearances and scored 10 goals for his team. He also had a loan spell at Celaya FC before joining Spanish side Racing Ferrol in La Liga 2. During his time there, Elsinho appeared 25 times and scored four goals.
Known for his versatility, Elsinho can operate both as a defensive midfielder and a central defender. His addition to the Jamshedpur FC structure will bring a new dimension to the team.

Hailing from the picturesque city of Uberaba in the Brazilian Highlands, Elsinho spent the early years of his footballing career playing in the lower divisions of Brazilian football. He caught the attention of scouts with his impressive debut performance for Oeste FC, a club based in Sao Paulo.
Head coach Scott Cooper emphasized Elsinho’s qualities, stating, Elsinho is a centre back and defensive midfield player who has both height and technical ability. He’s very fast for a big guy and has played in Mexico and at various levels in Brazil. We like him because of his pace, technical ability, and also because he is a major threat from set pieces, so we feel like he will be a great commodity and bring height to the team.
The club has announced that Elsinho will don the number 91 shirt for the upcoming campaign.
