Boris Epshteyn, a longtime adviser to former President Donald Trump, is facing serious allegations and legal troubles. He has recently been implicated in a federal indictment related to Trump’s post-2020 election efforts to stay in the White House. Epshteyn has also been charged with a second sexual assault in relation to an incident in Arizona.

Epshteyn, a Jewish immigrant from Russia, started his career in Republican politics as a member of late Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign staff in 2008. He worked as a communications aide, assisting in coordinating nationwide communications during the campaign.

Following McCain’s loss to President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, Epshteyn developed a friendship with Eric Trump while they were both attending Georgetown University. This friendship led to Epshteyn’s involvement with the Trump family. He served as the director of communications for Trump’s presidential inaugural committee and later worked in the White House as a special assistant to the president and assistant communications director for surrogate operations.

During his time in the White House, Epshteyn gained a reputation for his aggressive behavior. He reportedly terrorized network greenrooms and threatened to cut off White House officials from appearing on Fox News after a heated exchange with a booker. However, his inability to follow through on this threat did not have any impact on the administration’s relationship with the news network.

In the recent federal indictment against Trump, Epshteyn has been speculated to be one of the unnamed co-conspirators. The indictment alleges that these individuals helped implement a plan to submit fraudulent slates of presidential electors to obstruct the certification proceeding. An email from Epshteyn to Rudy Giuliani matches a description in the indictment of an interaction between one of the co-conspirators and Giuliani.

In addition to his involvement in the federal indictment, Epshteyn has faced legal trouble in Arizona. In 2021, a woman accused him of inappropriately touching her and another woman at a nightclub in Scottsdale. He was charged with assault, attempted sexual abuse, harassment, and disorderly conduct. Ultimately, Epshteyn pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and served probation, while the other charges were dismissed.

This is not the first time Epshteyn has faced legal issues in Scottsdale. In 2014, he was involved in a fight at a bar and was charged with assault. He reached a plea deal that required him to avoid contact with the victim and the establishment where the incident occurred.

The allegations and legal troubles surrounding Boris Epshteyn have further complicated his association with the Trump family and raised questions about his conduct. As the investigations and legal proceedings continue, Epshteyn will have to face the consequences of his actions. The implications of his involvement in the federal indictment and the sexual assault charge are yet to be determined.

It is important to note that these allegations are still under investigation and Epshteyn is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
