The CID bomb squad in West Bengal, India has taken precautions to ensure that all country-made explosives recovered from East Medinipur are safely disposed of ahead of Panchayat elections. The bombs were taken to a vacant location, a hole was dug in the ground, and the bombs were safely exploded. The medical team and fire brigade were on scene to ensure safety. Legal proceedings have also been initiated against those from whom the bombs were recovered. The West Bengal Panchayat elections are set to take place on July 8th, and the vote count will be held on July 11th.
