Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Dasoju Sravan has dismissed the Bharatiya Janata Party‘s (BJP) claim that Telangana is a gateway for the party to enter South India, stating that the BJP is daydreaming as far as penetrating the southern region of India is concerned. He went on to say that the BJP does not understand the culture and traditions of South India and only knows how to provoke emotions.
Sravan also accused the BJP of wanting to break the Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb in Telangana, which refers to the peaceful coexistence of Hindus and Muslims. He added that the BJP wants to destroy the social ecosystem, which Telangana will reject. The BRS leader claimed that the BJP hardly has any footprints in South India and has been pushed down to the third position in Telangana.
He further stated that the party has lost ground because people are not willing to accept their narrative, and that propaganda tactics will not work in Telangana. Sravan praised the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao-led government, saying that it has done excellent work in the last nine years, making Telangana the land of development and becoming a role model for the country.
The BRS leader’s remarks come in response to Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP Chief JP Nadda’s visit to the state. Despite the BJP‘s victory in Dubbaka, Sravan is confident that they will fail in Telangana. He advised the BJP to try their luck in northern India and not in Telangana.
In conclusion, the BRS leader reiterated that South India has rejected the BJP, and they do not understand the aspirations, culture, and traditions of the region. The move comes ahead of elections in several states, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.
