The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary, C.T. Ravi, has issued a warning to the Congress government in Karnataka, stating that his party would not remain inactive if the state begins to provide control to urban naxals. Ravi further commented that the current election’s results won’t last forever and that there will be future elections to consider. He expressed concern about an increase in naxal activity in the state, particularly in Chikkamagaluru, following Siddaramaiah’s elevation to chief minister. Ravi compared the situation in Karnataka to the conditions in Chhattisgarh, stating that such naxals only recognise bullets, not the ballot. He also demanded that Congress fulfil its promises to citizens without any restrictions.
