West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee predicts that the BJP-led government will last for another six months as the Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to take place in February or March next year. During a rally in Jalpaiguri district for the panchayat elections, Banerjee said the BSF must work impartially as the BJP may not be in power tomorrow. She accuses the BJP of lobbying different groups and communities while sensing their defeat. In response to Banerjee’s statement, BJP leader Mukul Roy said that her claims were baseless. According to him, the BJP is going strong with double the membership that the Trinamool Congress has.
BJP to remain in power at Centre for 6 more months, Lok Sabha elections to be held in Feb-Mar 2024, says Mamata
