The BJP’s Rajasthan unit has announced that it will hold a Jan Aakrosh Yatra in Jaipur on June 13 against the Congress government in the state. The opposition party called upon its workers and public representatives to ensure maximum participation in the march.
The BJP’s state unit president C P Joshi held a meeting in the party’s state office to prepare an outline of the programmes to be held across the state over the next month, as the Narendra Modi government completes its ninth year in office. During the meeting, Joshi took feedback from party MLAs and district unit presidents about the preparations for the Jan Aakrosh Yatra.
The Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore and Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena also addressed the meeting. The BJP has been critical of the Congress government in Rajasthan and has accused it of not fulfilling its electoral promises. The Jan Akrosh Yatra is regarded as part of the BJP’s efforts to highlight the failures of the state administration and to mobilize popular support ahead of the assembly polls scheduled for 2023.
