BJP Set to Secure a Decisive Victory in Rajasthan Assembly Elections
According to the latest ABP C-Voter Rajasthan Opinion Poll, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised for a convincing triumph in the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan. The survey, which sampled 1,885 individuals, projects that the BJP will secure 114 out of the 200 seats in the Rajasthan Assembly, marking a significant gain of 41 seats from the previous election. In contrast, the Congress is projected to win 83 seats, a decrease of 17 seats compared to their previous tally of 100.
The BJP’s impressive surge can be attributed to an astounding 7% swing in the party’s favor, leading to a substantial increase in their seat count. The BJP’s projected vote share stands at 45.8%, a notable improvement from their 38.8% in the previous election. Meanwhile, the Congress is also anticipated to experience a marginal improvement in vote share, with an increase of 1.7% expected, bringing their projected vote share to 41%. These findings indicate a two-horse race between the BJP and Congress, with both parties gaining vote share from the BSP and Other category, which witnesses a negative swing of 9%.
The survey reveals that the Congress-led government in Rajasthan, under Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has performed poorly on the issue of maintaining law and order. However, the government’s implementation of several state schemes, such as providing LPG cylinders for Rs 500 to Below Poverty Line (BPL) cardholders, could provide some electoral advantage to the Congress.
The upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan are poised to be highly competitive, with both the BJP and Congress vying for a decisive victory. While the BJP is riding on a significant wave of support, the Congress is determined to retain control of the state. Mallikarjun Kharge, the Congress Chief, has expressed confidence in securing Rajasthan’s future under the party’s leadership.
As the election fervor builds up in the state, it remains to be seen how the political landscape of Rajasthan will shape up. The battle for supremacy between the BJP and Congress promises to be fierce, with both parties strategizing to win the hearts and votes of the people. The electorate holds immense power in their hands to determine the course of Rajasthan’s political future, and the assembly elections will undoubtedly be a significant turning point for the state.
